Experience the thunder of hooves, the clash of wood against steel and experience the thrills and spills of real medieval games. Vendors for a Renaissance Faire type feel as well as food, games for the kids, bounce houses and a petting zoo. Costume contest with prizes for youth, men and women. After the joust, eat a period correct meal at the Queen’s dinner, complete with entertainment (TBD). This event is the main fundraiser of the year to benefit CHAPS Equine Assisted Therapy. We will start at Dayton Community Hall and visit four other halls in the county. The community halls tour will open five halls in Sheridan and Johnson counties to the public to share their history, architecture, and role in community cohesion and celebration, as just a small sample of the dozens of such halls in Wyoming. Once the plate making is completed the emphasis of the course will shift to the many variations of printing that the intaglio technique offers. Participants may also bring any existing intaglio plates for printing. All are encouraged to bring ideas and/or a sketchbook, and dress for art making. Fee: $300 per person. Age: Must be 14 years or older. No experience necessary and all materials and supplies are provided. Lunch from the Brinton Bistro is included each day.
